Founded by Korean War veteran Mike Giorgis in 1956, Mike’s Wrecker Service has grown from a single service station and homemade wrecker into one of Mid-Michigan’s most established towing and recovery companies. Today, our family-owned business operates multiple locations with more than 30 trucks and approximately 50 employees serving motorists, commercial fleets, law enforcement agencies, municipalities, and businesses throughout the region.

Our fleet serves passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, municipalities, contractors, trucking companies, and equipment owners with 24/7 towing, roadside assistance, recovery, and transport services.
Roadside Assistance
Our 24/7 roadside assistance services include jump starts, tire changes, truck tire repair, vehicle lockouts, and gasoline or diesel fuel delivery.
Accident Recovery Services
We provide complete accident recovery services, including winching, uprighting, rotator service, cargo recovery, and cleanup of small diesel fuel spills.
Light Duty Towing
Light-duty towing services for cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, electric vehicles, and hybrid vehicles. Flatbed and long-distance towing are also available.
Medium Duty Towing
Medium-duty towing service for delivery vans, utility trucks, box trucks, work trucks, shuttle buses, small RVs, and other commercial vehicles.
Heavy Duty Towing
Heavy-duty towing for semis, tractor-trailers, buses, motorhomes, construction equipment, vocational trucks, agricultural equipment, and oversized commercial vehicles. Lowboy and Landoll trailer transport is available.
Rotator Service
Our fleet includes two 50-ton rotators and one 40-ton rotator for overturned tractor-trailers, heavy equipment recoveries, cargo shifts, mobile crane work, vehicle uprighting, and complex recoveries.

Heavy-Duty Recovery for Michigan’s Toughest Road Challenges
Not every towing company can handle complex heavy recoveries. Mike’s Wrecker Service has invested in specialized equipment and continuing education to safely manage some of Michigan’s most challenging towing and recovery operations.
Our fleet includes air cushion recovery systems, heavy winch trucks, detachable lowboy trailers, Landoll trailers, and multiple heavy-duty rotators. To safely utilize this equipment, our operators complete ongoing training through WreckMaster and Miller Rotator School.
